can't support PDF button and virtual PDF printer 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I tested the PDF function on my localhost server built with XAMPP for Windows.

pcDTR plugin can work well for my Chinese fonts.

Then I pressed the PDF button on the Joomla article page, however, I did not get any PDF document. It seems that the server was always busy after I pressed that button. Finally I have to give up.

Then I tested with the vitual PDF printer installed on my Windows XP.

I open the article page where pcDTR plugin had shown some beautiful fonts. Next, I choose Print command from File menu of the browser and choose PDFfacltory (the virtual printer) as my printer. The result PDF document shows that, the article is in normal text, NO pcDTR effect at all.

Why?

Since pcDTR had turned those texts into PNG images, why I can't get the SAME output in the PDF document?

Is it possible to add support for PDF in pcDTR plugin?

Thanks.

Good question. But probably not. Doesn't pdf strip out all css background-images?

So i guess it will be to hard project to fix. And i don't want to dive in to the pdf part when they are going to skip it in joomla 1.6. Try to figure something out that going to be removed na thx.
